Is there a way to remember the flow item last edited and return the user back to that area of the flow when returning to flow designer? Would this be on a timeout so if returning within 10 mins for example, we return to the same place, else back to top? I'm not sure of the ideal logic, but I do find I tend to test one flow block (or maybe a couple of adjacent flow blocks) at a time to get it working, so returning to it would save navigation time (especially where the flow block is further down).
